Second Chance Tandem offer bespoke training and development initiatives to address skills gaps, reduce reliance on peasantry, and to empower the group members individually and/or collectively to participate more fully in the local economies. 

All the three group members have received basic business and financial management training to improve their entrepreneurial skills. This will also be beneficial to the other members (who are not in business) in their day-to-day transactions and budgeting at home. The training cover effective peasantry, as all the group members practice peasantry, to help in the maximisation of the practice for higher, better quality and quantity of production for food security.

Second Chance Tandem in collaboration with the West Kenya Sugar Company organised and trained the group members on large scale sugarcane growing and commercial farming. All the three women groups individually undertake sugarcane farming.
